Aflame Omni-Channel Retail Project
For our final project in my design concepts and problem-solving class, we were organized into groups, each tasked with creating an Omni-Channel Retail company. Our team wanted to create a unique retail experience that would stand out from the rest. We settled on Aflame, a custom candle retailer and fragrance bar. After conducting research on the candle industry and demographics, we decided to focus our brand on allowing the consumer to fully customize their candles and be an important part of the making process.
As one of two of the team's graphic designers, I was responsible for designing the company website, in-store tablet interfaces, and creating a working prototype of the website, all while maintaining and integrating Aflame's style and branding guidelines that were created by the team's other graphic designer. The website's main feature is an online candle studio where consumers can still customize and order their own candles if they are unable to do so in-store. The website features cool earth tones with a focus on sustainability.
We each had our own individual goals for the project but effectively worked together as a team to create a unified retail store, consistent brand,  and unique consumer experience.
